It's impossible to catalogue every type of car used for classic trials, although Donald Cowbourne has a jolly good try, for the years up to 1939, in his three mammoth tomes. I've decided to concentrate on those marques particularly associated with trialling: Allard, Austin, MG and Singer from the PreWar years; Dellow, Liege, Marlin, and Troll from the PostWar and Modern eras; and I also hope to provide some information on the various "Specials" which have always been such an important part of the trials scene.
