TopSections

  • The numbers in the tables below show the order in which the sections were run for that year - generally taken from Cowbourne. In 1937, 1938, and 1939 the event was centred on Cheltenham (CHECK) with a North Loop and a South Loop.
  • Sections where the name is shown in bold are still in current use and their exact location is not available on this website.
  • Sections where the name is shown as a link indicate that the exact location is known and the link opens a Streetmap website page with the section arrowed. In almost all cases, these sections are now tarmaced, or unavailable for vehicular use (because they are restricted byways, bridleways, or footpaths). Please check the current status before visiting and do not be tempted to use illegally.
  • Sections where the name is shown in normal text indicate that the location is either unknown, not known with sufficient certainty to indicate on a map, or has been excluded for a specific reason.
  • Sections where the name is shown highlighted yellow were also used by the Gloucester Trial.
  • * means that the section was listed under a different name for that event. Gamble's Lane was called Rising Sun Lane in 1921. Little Buckland was called Little Brockhampton in 1928 and Brockhampton in 1929 (and 1930).
  • » means that the section was also used in the 1930s.
  • « means that the section was also used in the 1920s.
